Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Not at all. You provide six pieces of information—your gender, date of birth, health status, whether you use tobacco, the coverage amount you want, and the term length you're considering. That's everything needed to generate rate quotes from multiple carriers. Your name and full health history only come into play if you decide to move forward with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
What you see is the quoted rate based on the health class you indicated. The carrier's final decision comes during underwriting, which may confirm that class, move you to a better one, or adjust it based on a complete review. Nothing displayed here constitutes an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any particular price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name, and the application is built directly from your selected quote. From there, you continue on the carrier's own secure application system, where you can pause and resume as needed. Your signature happens electronically, and the entire process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California insurance agency (License 0B75129).
Will I need a medical exam?
Whether an exam is required depends on which carrier you choose, the death benefit amount, and your health details. Carriers that offer immediate coverage can make decisions quickly for eligible applicants—each quote tells you upfront if an exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Your term should cover the period when your death would create real financial hardship: mortgage years, time until kids finish school, a business loan, or any other obligation. Longer terms mean higher monthly payments but also lock in your rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms side by side so you can see the trade-off clearly.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool itself collects no contact information at all. We do not sell or share visitor data with anyone. Our measurement approach is cookieless and respects Do Not Track signals. For complete details on what data is collected and by which parties, please review the privacy page.
